A tropical wave approaching the region will increase moisture and instability. As a result, weather conditions will gradually deteriorate with increasing cloudiness, showers and possible thunderstorms. Showers may be heavy at times and can lead to street-flooding. Residents and users of flood-prone areas should be vigilant and exercise caution.
Meanwhile, sea conditions will remain slight to moderate during the next few days.

SPECIAL FEATURES: Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen formed in the Gulf of Mexico at 11:00am, where it was centered at latitude 22.4 North, 95.7 West or about 2130 miles west-northwest of St. Maarten. This system is moving toward the north near 8 mph with maximum sustained winds near 35 mph and higher gusts. Potential Tropical Cyclone Sixteen does not pose a threat to St. Maarten.
