WEATHER:   This afternoon through Thursday midday: Partly cloudy, hazy and breezy, becoming cloudy at times with passing showers.

SURFACE WINDS:  This afternoon through Thursday midday: East-northeast to east with a gentle to fresh breeze of 10 to 18 mph and occasional higher gusts.

 

SYNOPSIS:  

The dominant Atlantic high pressure system will continue to generate brisk winds. Meanwhile, pockets of moisture in the lower levels of the atmosphere will cause cloudy periods and a few passing showers across the local area. Saharan dust entering the region will help to restrict shower activity. Marine conditions will continue to peak near 9 feet before subsiding from tomorrow evening. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to continue exercising caution.

 

STATE OF THE SEA: Moderate to Rough      WAVES/SWELLS: 6 to 9 feet
