This afternoon through Wednesday morning: Partly cloudy to cloudy and breezy with isolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms. Wednesday midday through afternoon: Partly cloudy and breezy with passing showers possible.

WINDS: This afternoon through Wednesday midday: East-southeast to south with a light to moderate breeze of 04 to 16 miles per hour with higher gusts possible.

SYNOPSIS:

Increasing moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave approaching the region will account for increasingly cloudy skies, isolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms across the local area.

A small craft advisory remains in effect for above normal seas with waves peaking near 8 feet, and brisk winds. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to continue exercising caution.

STATE OF THE SEA:  Moderate to Rough        WAVES/SWELLS: 6 to 8 feet

OUTLOOK through Thursday midday: Partly cloudy to cloudy and breezy with isolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms during the early part of the forecast period. Thereafter, a gradual improvement is expected.
