SYNOPSIS:   

Lingering moisture may cause cloudy periods and brief isolated showers during the forecast period. Meanwhile, a loose surface pressure gradient will maintain mostly gentle winds across the local region.  

Seas are expected to peak at 6 feet through the next few days. 

STATE OF THE SEA:  Slight to moderate          

WAVES/SWELLS: 3 to 6 feet  

SPECIAL FEATURE: Potential Tropical Cyclone #15 developed into Tropical Storm Lisa at 11:00am with maximum sustained winds of 40mph. Although Lisa is expected to further strengthen as it moves generally west towards Central America, it poses no threat to St. Maarten. 

The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor the Atlantic and update the public accordingly.
