A loose surface pressure gradient will maintain mostly light winds. Pockets of moisture embedded in the wind flow will increase the probability of showers as they move across the region. Additionally, Saharan dust will persist during this forecast period. Persons with allergies and/or respiratory illnesses should take the necessary precautions.   

Marine conditions will remain slight to moderate during this forecast period.

SPECIAL FEATURES:   

At 11:00 am, the center of Tropical Depression Ten was located approximately 850 miles east of St. Maarten. On its forecast track, the Depression is expected to move towards the north over open waters.
This system does not pose a threat to St Maarten.
