Prosecutor asks three years for lottery boss

WILLEMDTAD—The prosecution in Curaçao has demanded four years in prison of which one suspended with a two-year probation period against lottery boss Robbie dos Santos, for forgery, fraud, money laundering and tax evasion.

Fines were asked for his related companies Money Game NV, Jamarooma Lotteries NV and Administratiekantoor Dollar NV of respectively 3.5 million, 1 million and 8 million guilders. Cash money is also to be expropriated, as are any bank- and investments funds.

The court will give its verdict on April 1.
