Prime Minister: “Public order measures in force” - Curaçao Chronicle

WILLEMSTAD - During a national address on Wednesday evening at half past eight, the Prime Minister of Curaçao Dr. Bernhard Whiteman reminded the unions that are part of the general strike that the public order measures are in force.

These measures were taken by the Minister of Justice Nelson Navarro when the actions of the oil refinery contract workers were getting out of control.
The Prime Minister also defended the bill that according to the union centrals SSK and CGTC plus several non-affiliated unions was passed by Parliament to limit Government-owned companies, foundations and other public-sector entities in negotiating employment conditions and benefits with their personnel.
Whiteman called on all civil servants to and also employees of public companies to go to work as usual on Thursday.
