SIMPSON BAY--Presidente Beer’s free benefit concert was well attended on Sunday as international and local artistes entertained the thousands on Kim Sha Beach. Proceeds of Presidente beer sold during the event were donated to various relief organisations in St. Maarten such as the St. Maarten Youth Brigade, Red Cross and K1 Britannia.
Promo girls gave out Presidente wristbands and two winners got an all-expense-paid trip for two to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to attend the Presidente Festival November 3-6 to see world renowned artistes such as Justin Timberlake, Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, J Balvin and Maluma, and many more.
Local acts King Vers, King James, King Rumer, DJ Blaze, DJ EM, DJ Vybz, DJ Lil R, MCSoHype and Trilogy entertained the masses before Exodus HD from Anguilla and Trinidad and Tobago’s Ultimate Rejects brought the house down with their hit single “We Jamming still ... .”
Sponsoring partners for this event were Buccaneer Beach Bar, Port de Plaisance, VIP Security, Quality Sweepers and the police. The event was coordinated by Kalaboom Events and WeCanGive Foundation, which made sure the show was moving according to schedule.
