SIMPSON BAY--CC1, the official distributor of Presidente beer, says they have raised close to US $6,000 for the Red Cross, K1 Britannia Foundation, SXM Youth Brigade and We Can Give Foundation at a beach event this past Sunday.
The company announced on Thursday that the funds raised came mainly from Presidente beer sales and Buccaneer Beach Bar had rounded the amount up to $5,000.
Domino’s Pizza also sold slices of pizza and donated 40 per cent of its sales valued at $1,052, totalling the full donation to $6,052.
The event was coordinated through Kalaboom Events, Buccaneer Beach Bar and Presidente beer distributed by CC1 St. Maarten.
Curt Fraser and Claudia Proctor won round-trip tickets courtesy of Presidente to attend a musical festival in Santo Domino this November. Airfare and hotel accommodations complete the prize package and each winner can invite one friend to join them on the trip.
