Coloured tape is seen on the ground to mark out the required distancing between pupils.

MARIGOT--President of the Collectivité Daniel Gibbs visited the Marie-Antoinette Richards Primary School in Morne O’Reilly on Monday morning to meet with pupils and staff of CP, CE1 and CM2 for the return to school, and to check on the organisation of health measures.

Gibbs was accompanied by Vice-Recteur Michel Sanz, and Schools Inspector Dominique Boyer.

The Marie-Antoinette Richards School has adapted the open-air areas of the school and the classrooms to respect the rules of physical distancing. The technical staff of the Collectivité carried out the two-metre-spaced ground markings for access to classrooms and the canteen. Desks in classrooms were seen to be well spaced apart.

The president praised the work carried out by the school staff, Collectivité and teachers to welcome the children in optimal health and safety conditions.
