Préfecture: Rumours about ‘grace  periods, or an amnesty’ are false

MARIGOT--The Préfecture has said rumours circulating on social media about grace periods or an amnesty pertaining to persons in an irregular situation are false.

  Applications for a first resident permit for persons in an irregular situation are received in the Préfecture on Monday mornings from 8:30am to 12:00pm. The form and the accompanying documents required are listed on the website of the Préfecture:

  Particular situations will be examined on a case-by-case basis, in conformity with the law. No modifications to the texts or laws governing the rules for admissions and residency are expected as of this date.
