SOUTH REWARD--Police rushed to the South Reward area on Thursday afternoon after receiving reports of a big fight at St. Maarten Academy PSVE where a group of students started a fist fight that ended up on Marigot Hill Road. Some students were injured and two are in police custody.
Eyewitnesses told The Daily Herald the students had knives and were not afraid to use them. Police arrived shortly afterward and chased the students from the scene. One officer fell while running after the students. A short chase led to one suspect being captured on St. Peters Road and another close to the vicinity.

The after-school fights continue to be an issue for police. They patrol the area, but students still find a way to fight. Police spokesman Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson confirmed that two persons are in custody and that some students had been hurt during the fight. He reminded parents to tell their children to go home after school and not hang out outside their schools.
