SOUTH REWARD--Police rushed to the South Reward area on Thursday afternoon after receiving reports of a big fight at the Academy P.S.V.E. where a group of students started a fist fight that ended up on Marigot Hill road. Two students are in police custody while some students were injured. Eye witnesses told The Daily Herald that students had knives and the culprits were not afraid to use the weapons. Police arrived on the scene shortly after and chased the students from the scene.
One officer fell as a result of running after the students. A short chase led to one suspect being captured on the St. Peters main road and another close to the vicinity. The after school fights continue to be an issue for police who patrol the area but students still find a way to fight. Police spokesman Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson confirmed that two persons are in custody and that some students were hurt during the fight. Henson reminded parents to speak to their children to go home after school and not hang out outside their schools.
