Police made several arrests last Friday

PHILIPSBURG--The St. Maarten Police Force KPSM was kept busy last Friday, as several persons were arrested for various offences.

A man A.R. was again arrested in Cole Bay on Friday, October 11, for breaking into a garage a few days earlier. He was taken to the Philipsburg police station, where he is detained pending further investigation.

A man J.K.H. was arrested for threatening his uncle with bodily harm on Fort Hill Road around 11:00am Friday, October 11. After being arrested, he was taken to the Philipsburg police station and interrogated by the personnel of the Detective Department. He was later given a fine and released.

Police were dispatched to Belvedere on Friday afternoon because of a fight. At the scene, officers encountered a man with his lip partially bitten off. According to information gathered by police, the victim had a fight with a man L.W.C., who fled the scene after the incident.

Later that afternoon, W.C. turned himself in at the Philipsburg police station and was arrested immediately. He was handed over to the Detective Department for further investigation.
