Police arrest another suspect in Mars case

PHILIPSBURG--The Detective Department made another arrest on Wednesday in connection with the Mars investigation into the disappearance of Luis David “Blanco” Sarante-Diaz and Erwin Rosario “Eggy” Contreras.

The two men were last seen on Monday, December 5, 2016, after they entered a hotel room at Simpson Bay Resort and Marina.

The police issued a press release to the local newspapers and on social media on Wednesday in search of an old model green Dodge Caravan last seen on the Simpson Bay Resort and Marina premises on the same date the two men went missing and was most probably used in their disappearance, according to police.

As the investigation continued, a man M.A.W. was arrested as a suspect in this case. The old Dodge Caravan was located and confiscated for further investigation. The suspect remains in restricted custody for questioning in this investigation.
