Peter Glerum appointed as crisis-management advisor

  1. EUSTATIUS--The public entity of St. Eustatius has appointed Peter Glerum as crisis-management advisor. He will focus on strengthening the island government’s response to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

Glerum, whose appointment came into effect on April 7, will specifically support the strengthening of the medical capacity in St. Eustatius. Furthermore, he is to advise the island government on measures to be taken, depending on the situation in regard to coronavirus developments in Statia and worldwide.

Glerum is an independent crisis-management expert with extensive experience in advice and coordination of the response to disasters. He has worked on local, regional and national levels on disaster management in the Netherlands and has been deployed as a team leader to coordinate international disaster response on behalf of the European Union.
