Parliament to talk about education facilities today

PHILIPSBURG--The state of affairs of education facilities and education in general will be the subject of discussion when Members of Parliament (MPs) sit in an urgent plenary public session of Parliament at 11:00am today, Monday, August 26.

  Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports (ECYS), Wycliffe Smith will be present. The agenda points are the state of affairs of education facilities and education in general and the state of affairs of the Education Care Center (ECC).

  The meeting was requested by National Alliance (NA) MPs Silveria Jacobs, William Marlin, Ardwell Irion, Egbert Jurendy Doran and Christophe Emmanuel and United St. Maarten Party (US Party) MPs Rolando Brison and Frans Richardson.

  The public can follow the session in person at the House of Parliament located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.

  The session will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 115; 107.9FM, 98.1FM,
