A car flipped over at Lodi Road in St. Eustatius on Friday, around 5:50pm. The accident was caused due to poor road conditions after rainfall during the passing of post-Tropical Storm Isaac, Caribbean Netherlands Police Force KPCN said.

When police officers arrived at the scene they saw the vehicle was total loss after it had apparently veered off the road due to poor visibility and had struck a utility pole, which was uprooted. The sole occupant of the vehicle was taken to Queen Beatrix Medical Centre and treated for injuries to the face. The Police are continuing their investigation concerning this accident, it was stated.
