Old and new prices
KRALENDIJK--Effective Friday, retail tariffs for fuel were adjusted in Bonaire, following recent developments on the international market and new purchase prices.
Gasoline (MOGAS95) went up from US $1.64 to $1.70 per litre, a hike of 6 dollar cents.
Diesel (gas oil) dropped from US $1.57 to $1.38 per litre, a substantial decline of 19 dollar cents.
The price of kerosene remained unchanged, namely US $0.81 per litre.
A big cylinder (100lbs) of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) rose from US $55 to $57, an increase of two dollars. The price of a small cylinder (20lbs) remained the same, namely US $12.
Provisions of the Temporary Decree of March 25, 2022 on excise duty reduction Caribbean Netherlands and also the Act of December 21, 2022 amending several tax laws and some other laws have been applied.
Until April 1, 2022, the excise duty for gasoline amounted to 31.86 dollar cents per hectolitre. According to the aforementioned regulations, from then the rate amounted to 15.86 dollar cents until June 30, 2023.
From July 1 of that year to December 1, 32023, the rate was 23.86 dollar cents per hectolitre. Since 1 January 2024, the excise duty rate for petrol (MOGAS95) amounts to 31.86 dollar cents per hectolitre (level before April 2022
