OBBR staff, managers complete pool operators accreditation

OYSTER POND--Several employees and managers of Oyster Bay Beach Resort (OBBR) and Coral Beach Club (CBC) recently completed a two-day Certified Pool Operator (CPO) accreditation seminar. Eliezer Alejandro, a certified instructor for the United States National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF), conducted the seminar.

OBBR and CBC General Manager Ricardo Perez commended all participants, especially those who acquired CPO certification. This certification is valid for five years. The CPO certification is accepted almost worldwide, according to NSPF.

The seminar covered pool and spa management, regulations and guidelines, essential calculations, water contaminants, disinfection, chemical balance, chemical testing, water circulation, filtration, spa and therapy pools, pool and spa safety, record keeping, general maintenance and legal considerations, among other important topics.
