No longer a fixture

Government is working on removing a popular point of interest that has become a hazard after Hurricane Irma.

Tourism and Economic Affairs Minister Stuart Johnson said he and fellow Minister Miklos Giterson, who is responsible for Environment and Infrastructure are looking into the demolition of the airplane that once housed Air Lekkerbek restaurant. “Unfortunately, that structure is no longer safe, and it has to be removed so that it does not continue to be an eyesore in the eyes of our visitors and residents,” said Johnson in a recent press conference.
