PHILIPSBURG--Front Street will be partially closed from Weduwensteeg from 8:00pm to 5:00am every night until Tuesday, July 28, in connection with demolition works.
Weduwensteeg is the alley closest to Down Street Cruise Heritage Development project, next to Walter Plantz Tender Jetty.
Closures started yesterday evening, July 21 and a press release was issued through the Department of Communication DComm on that day.
The demolition works at building site #114 are estimated to take seven days, the release stated, and debris will be transported to the landfill through Front Street along Diamond Casino.
Access for motorists will be restricted and pedestrians should take note of the closure and use alternative access through Back Street.
