New local coastguard boss

Roberto Levenstone took the oath as the new head of the Dutch Caribbean Coast Guard support centre in St. Maarten before Minister of Justice Cornelis de Weever on Friday, December 14. Levenstone succeeds Marlon Werleman, who was praised by Brigadier General Peter Jan de Vin for his dedication and guidance of his staff during his tenure.

Levenstone was already deputy head and said he looks forward to the challenge. He hopes to strengthen the relationships with the justice system partners to further protect the boundaries of St. Maarten. (Tim Van Dijk photo).
