The Préfecture has appointed Grégoire Pierre-Dessaux as the new Chef de Cabinet replacing Emmanuel Effantin. Pierre-Dessaux was a graduate of the Political Studies Institute in Aix-en-Provence before taking posts in public security in Vaucluse and then in Herault. His last posting before St. Martin was Assistant Director for a project transferring planes from the civil security force from Marignane to Nimes. He is already familiar with St. Martin and the devastation caused by the hurricanes as he was part of reinforcements that arrived here in mid-September.
