My88 equipment suffers major malfunction

COLE BAY--Management of My88.3FM on Tuesday announced that the transmitting equipment of the station suffered a major malfunction on Monday morning, throwing the station off-air. The technical failure took place at the St. Peters hill location.

Station Manager Mike Granger on Tuesday explained that service was restored on Monday evening twice, but both times the temporary fixes did not hold. He said actions to restore service will take some time.

“Unfortunately, technical issues happen, but we would like to assure our listeners and advertisers that we are working around the clock to get back on the airwaves as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and look forward to being back with you very soon,” Granger said.
