PHILIPSBURG--Members of Parliament (MPs) will gather in a meeting of the Central Committee of Parliament today, Wednesday, at 11:00am to discuss the Social Economic Council SER and other issues.
Members of the SER will be present at the meeting to provide a presentation on the SER’s composition, work method and its role in society.
Also on the agenda of today’s meeting will be an advice regarding the installation and composition of the Permanent and Ad Hoc Committees of Parliament; advice regarding the installation and composition of the Latin American Parliament Parlatino and discussion on the appointment of an Acting Ombudsman.
The public can follow the proceedings in person at the House of Parliament located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.
The meeting will also be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 120, Pearl Radio 98.1fm, www.pearlfmradio.com and www.sxmparliament.org.
