Misunderstood

In Monday’s article on President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to St. Martin, in a statement attributed to the President, it was mistakenly written that there was “a sense of frustration from the President that reconstruction is not proceeding as fast as the Dutch side.”

However, the President referred only to delays in social housing repairs in French Quarter, not in general. The Daily Herald acknowledges the President implied no such statement and no comparison was made with the Dutch side. The Daily Herald regrets the misinterpretation and apologises for the error.
