Minister presents budget 2019 in Parliament today

 

PHILIPSBURG--Finance Minister Perry Geerlings is expected to present the draft National Ordinance to establish the 2019 Budget of Sint Maarten in a meeting of the Central Committee of Parliament today, Tuesday.

  The budget is the second agenda point of a meeting scheduled to start at 2:00pm. The first agenda point, the approval of the draft Parliamentary Contact Plan for Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and Suriname, and final declaration of the Parliamentary consultation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Suriname and the States of Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten, held February 11- 14, in Paramaribo, Suriname.

  The public can follow the session in person at the House of Parliament, located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.

  The session will be carried live on St. Maarten Cable TV Channel 115, 107.9fm, 98.1fm, www.sxmparliament.org, www.pearlfmradio.sx  and Parliament’s Facebook page: Parliament of Sint Maarten.
