The area of the shooting, cordoned off for the forensic investigators to collect evidence and for detectives to speak to witnesses.
BEACON HILL--A man was shot on Beacon Hill Road in the area of Maho beach in the presence of his daughter just after 11:00pm Wednesday.
On the scene the investigating officers located the victim who was lying on the ground bleeding from a gunshot wound. Paramedics treated the victim on the scene and then transported him in critical condition to St. Maarten Medical Center for further treatment.
The area was immediately cordoned off for the forensic investigators to collect evidence and for detectives to speak to witnesses.
The investigation has just started. It is unclear who the suspect is and the victim’s identity had not yet been established up to press time.
Police are investigating the incident.
