MAC School pupils visit police headquarters

MAC pupils at the Philipsburg police station Friday.

PHILIPSBURG--Police management welcomed Methodist Agogic Centre (MAC) School pupils for a tour of the police station on Friday.

The very energetic and inquisitive group of five- to six-year-olds had an opportunity to meet with several different officers and detectives as well as take a full tour of the station to learn the ins and outs of what goes on a daily basis within its walls.

The children were able to meet with the head of the Juvenile Justice Department, head of Immigration, head of the Police Bike Patrol, head of the Communication and Public Relations Department and the watch commander on duty, among many others employed at the police station.

The tour ended with the pupils checking out the police patrol bikes and listening to the sirens of the police cars.

Police said the children had a terrific day and thanked them for being on their best behaviour while on their visit.
