Civil servants from the public entities Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba and the Ministries of Social Affairs and Employment; of Education, Culture and Science; and of Health, Welfare and Sport, met June 19 through 21 in a work meeting in Bonaire about childcare in the Caribbean Netherlands.
In the meeting it was investigated where and how public entities and the ministries can cooperate, and the first steps were taken towards a joint multi-annual plan of approach. Follow-ups will be taking place after the summer break so that an administrative decision can be taken before the end of this year. Before that a consultation will be held with childcare and education, administrators to hear what they think of the plans. All participants in the meeting expressed the importance of good cooperation.
