Leos donate games to Belvedere Centre

South Leo Club members with some of the children from the Belvedere Community Centre on Friday.

PHILIPSBURG--South Leo Club presented the children, teachers and staff at Belvedere Community Centre with games and toys for recreational and educational use last week Friday.

The Club’s president Sasha Buncamper said in a press release on Monday, “Some time back, my mother Maria Buncamper-Molanus received funds from an anonymous donor. This donor wanted to contribute towards enhancing the lives of children in particular. As a family of humanitarians and living in a home filled with Lionism it was decided that the St. Maarten South Leo Club would be the appropriate organization to realize the wishes of the donor.
“The Belvedere Community Centre immediately came to mind as well. So, contact had been established and Jessica Richardson, Director of the afterschool programme, sent us a list of items she thought would be of value to the kids hosted at the centre.”

She said she was happy and excited to be able to hand over all the great games and toys.

South Leo Club and the anonymous donor wish all the children much playing and learning pleasure.
