Laveist resigns from National Alliance Party

PHILIPSBURG--Former Member of Parliament Louie Laveist has resigned from the National Alliance party. Laveist forwarded a letter to the board and did not cite the reason behind his resignation.

In a letter addressed to the board on November 10, Laveist said that he resigns with immediate effect and thanked the National Alliance family for allowing him the opportunity to serve in various capacities as a party member. Laveist served in the first parliament of Country St. Maarten in 2010.
