KPSM officers to wear pink for Cancer Awareness Month

St. Maarten Police Force KPSM sends a clear message for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “You are not alone. We stand with you.”

PHILIPSBURG--Officers and staff of St. Maarten Police Force KPSM will wear pink T-shirts as part of their uniforms on Friday, October 9, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

KPSM recognises the impact cancer has on individuals, their families and loved ones, as well as the challenges faced by those undergoing treatment and the healthcare professionals and caregivers who support them throughout their journey.

Through this simple gesture, KPSM hopes to raise awareness, express solidarity and remind those affected by cancer through their message: “You are not alone. We stand with you.”

KPSM said the initiative is intended to raise awareness and show solidarity with people affected by cancer, including patients, survivors, families, caregivers and healthcare professionals. The police force is encouraging the community to show compassion and support to those affected by cancer and to raise awareness about the challenges they face.
