Killer of Wendy Montulet murdered in prison cell

MARIGOT—The killer of Wendy Montulet was found dead in his cell in Guadeloupe on Friday morning, the Gendarmerie confirmed.

The 22-year-old accused man was transferred to Guadeloupe on Thursday after admitting while in custody to the murder of the 21-year-old Belgian tourist on Saturday July 9 when she never returned from a morning run.

Capitaine Emmanuel Maignan indicated Wendy’s killer was murdered in the cell by other inmates during the night of Thursday.

There was no information on how he was murdered. His death is being investigated by justice authorities in Pointe-a -Pitre, Guadeloupe.

No further information was available.
