Kids enjoy hunting for Easter eggs over holiday

Ready, set, go: Kids take off at the start of the Seaside Nature Park Easter Egg Hunt on Monday, while parents capture the moment on their mobile devices.

CAY BAY--Hundreds of children gathered at different locations around the island over the long holiday weekend to enjoy hunting for Easter eggs, a traditional Easter activity for the little ones.

Some Easter Egg hunting activities were held on Saturday, some on Sunday and some on Easter Monday itself.

Over at Seaside Nature Park in Cay Bay, a number of children of different ages gathered for a morning Easter Egg Hunt.

The Easter Bunny hid many eggs around the park and along the beach for kids to find. After being grouped together according to their ages, the young children went hunting for eggs scattered along the property and hidden in trees. Some of the eggs contained candies, some were empty and some contained vouchers for small toys. Each child also received a goody bag with treats.

After the hunt some families remained for children to enjoy the bouncy castles that were set up for the event, while parents relaxed in the covered pavilion. Some families also enjoyed the nearby beach.
