Island Governor of Saba Jonathan Johnson (standing) visited the European Netherlands last week.
During his visit, he had an introductory meeting with new Minister of Security and Justice Ferdinand Grapperhaus to discuss issues, such as law enforcement, drugs and domestic violence. The Governor also met with State Secretary of Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops on the recovery fund for the Caribbean Netherlands. Johnson also seized the opportunity to thank the organizations responsible for providing support before and in the first few days and weeks after the hurricanes that struck Saba in September 2017. He shared the impact the hurricanes had on Saba and highlighted some chances to improve the cooperation between different organizations.
