Insel resumes flights to SXM

AIRPORT--Curaçao-based InselAir flew to St. Maarten again on Tuesday after several days of cancellations due to technical issues.

The flight was performed with an Airbus A320 of Haiti’s Sunrise Airways. The plane had been wet-leased for service to Suriname, but was sent to Princess Juliana International Airport SXM instead due to the current schedule problems.

One of Insel’s two Fokker 50 aircraft suffered a defect, while its lone MD-80 jet is to undergo a mandatory maintenance C-check.
