A refresher course on industrial firefighting was conducted February 20-24 at the Caribbean Netherlands Fire Department St. Eustatius. The course consisted of a combination of theoretical and practical lessons conducted by two instructors of the Joint Fire Department of Rotterdam-Rijnmond in the Netherlands.
Two firefighters from Saba’s Fire Department and four members of NuStar’s First Response Team also took part in the refresher course. The candidates were all very enthusiastic and involved with the course, especially where it related to the various practical tests they conducted in the field.
