ANGUILLA--The 59th meeting of the Eleventh Anguilla House of Assembly is due to take place today, Thursday, June 28, starting at 2:00pm. There will be considerable business including the Government of Anguilla Accounts and Report of the Chief Auditor for 2015, two Bills, an Act and a motion.
The motion regards property tax rates and is for a temporary reduction in the regulations for the current year. There will be the second and third reading of the Insurance (Amendment) Bill and the first reading of the Higher Education Licensing (Amendment) Bill. Also tabled will be an Act for Public Service Salaries (Temporary) Reduction. This is an Act to provide for the temporary reduction of salaries and certain allowances paid out of the Consolidated Fund until December 31, 2018, and was recommended by the Governor.
