The fifth wheel hitch gave out on this trailer on Wednesday afternoon causing the container it was carrying to fall on the street near the Churchill Roundabout. No one was hurt as a result of this incident, according to police. The driver told witnesses that he came from Pointe Blanche and was delivering the container nearby when he noticed that the trailer was on the street. He has no idea how the fifth wheel hitch gave out. Traffic had to be diverted by police patrols until the container could be securely hoisted and placed back onto its bedding.
