PELICAN--St. Maarten Archaeological Centre SIMARC Director, Archaeologist Jay Haviser is one of fifty international delegates invited to the 2019 Lorentz Centre Workshop at Leiden in the Netherlands. The workshop is set for January 14 to 19.
Haviser will be a speaker within the panel discussion on Culture and Community Engagement, together with renowned scholars from Africa, Pacific, Asia, Europe, Caribbean, and South/North America.
The week-long workshop is intended for academic discussions that will eventually result in a publication on the various perspectives on “Intersecting Worlds: Interplay of Cultures and Technology,” as a long-term goal of the NEXUS1492 Leiden University programme.
