SIMPSON BAY--Princess Juliana International Airport’s operating company PJIAE welcomed the Easter season with its inaugural Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt on Saturday evening, creating a festive and memorable celebration for airport employees.
In the spirit of Easter, PJIAE has also installed a large Easter Bunny outside the terminal, inviting both staff and the community to take photos and share in the holiday cheer. Each evening, the installation is illuminated, offering visitors a vibrant and picture-perfect backdrop for capturing seasonal memories.
The highlight of the airport’s internal celebrations was the Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt, held outdoors on the runway. Organised by PJIAE’s internal events committee, the event provided a unique twist on the classic Easter tradition, combining creativity, fun, and team-building. Employees eagerly participated in the hunt, enjoying friendly competition and laughter well into the evening.
“Events like this give us the chance to connect beyond the day-to-day work environment and celebrate together as one team,” said Bermyle Davis, Human Resources People Operations Officer and organiser of the event. “It was wonderful to see everyone come together, share smiles, and enjoy a truly special experience.”
The airport emphasised that fostering a positive and engaging work culture remains a top priority, with celebrations such as this helping to strengthen bonds among colleagues. PJIAE also highlighted its ongoing efforts to engage with the wider community, bringing people together through festive moments and seasonal activities.
As the Easter weekend approaches, PJIAE extends warm wishes to residents and visitors alike, encouraging everyone to enjoy quality time with family, friends, and loved ones, just as the airport family did during their Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt.
