Four Anguillian pupils reach Rotary Spelling Bee semi-finals

 ANGUILLA--In the annual Scotiabank and Rotary Spelling Bee held on Sunday, October 14, four pupils from Anguilla successfully secured a place in the semi-finals. A release from the Rotary Club in Anguilla says they are extremely proud of these pupils and are asking the Anguillian community to join in congratulating them and supporting them in the competition.

Zakkari Lake from the Valley Primary School and Jayda Adams, Ayana Carty and Tamara Hall-Sampson from the Alwyn Allison Richardson Primary School are the successful pupils. The Spelling Bee was held in St. Maarten and facilitated by the Rotary Clubs of St. Maarten Mid-Isle and the Rotaract Club of St. Maarten Sunrise as well as the Anguilla Club.

The pupils were accompanied to St. Maarten by a contingent of parents, teachers and members of the Anguilla Rotary Club. The semi-finals are due to be held on Sunday, October 21.
