A number of persons got their breasts clinically examined at St. Maarten Medical Center’s (SMMC’s) free clinical breast examinations in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month being observed this month.
The hospital partnered with the Positive Foundation and Electralyets Foundation for the event. The screening was held at SMMC’s Outpatient Department and featured presentations by SMMC’s Radiologist Dr. Brice Watinou and Chemotherapy nurse Jasmine Cijntje. Visitors were examined by SMMC specialists and Emergency Room doctors, who were assisted by students from American University of the Caribbean (AUC) School of Medicine.
