The School Meals Project as part of the Hurricane Irma Recovery Programme in St. Maarten delivered its last meals earlier this month. Overall, the School Meals team prepared more than 875,000 meals since October 2017. Daily breakfasts and lunches were distributed to 3,000 children in 18 elementary schools and five high schools. With the official end of the programme, the Red Cross thanked all suppliers, staff members, the government as well as elementary and high schools for their contributions and service which helped it assist the children in the community.
