Education, Labour Market Council rounds up visit to the Netherlands

SABA/ST. EUSTATIUS--The Council for Education and the Labour Market for the Caribbean Netherlands ROA-CN paid a working visit to various authorities in the European Netherlands. The recent visit was part of the Council’s strategic plan for the coming years.

The agenda included visits to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science OCW, Central Bureau for Statistics (CBS), Foundation Cooperation Vocational Education and Labour Market SBB and Regional Education Centre ROC TOP in Amsterdam. In addition, a few new directors and civil servants were introduced to OCW.

The visits were aimed at strengthening relations with partners in the European part of the Kingdom. Attention was also paid to the importance of information exchange, good cooperation and knowledge sharing in Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.

By making new contacts and making new agreements, ROA-CN may gather more data and information in the fields of education and the labour market of the three islands, with the result that certain statutory tasks can be better executed, according to ROA-CN.
