EcoPark and ArtPark added to expand Regatta Village

Heineken Regatta 2018 Village.

PHILIPSBURG--Regatta organisers have announced two expanded initiatives to the Regatta Village during the upcoming 39th edition of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. The “EcoPark” and “ArtPark” will be open from the Regatta Village grand opening on Monday, February 25, until the end of the regatta on March 3.

St. Maarten’s Regatta Village, the hub of all event activity, will be located at Princess Port de Plaisance Resort, Casino and Yacht Club for the week of the regatta. The ArtPark will be open to the island’s talented artists and craftspeople while the EcoPark will highlight the many local green and sustainability organisations and initiatives on the island.

“The goal of these parks is to provide visitors and residents of the island with an informative experience during the regatta while at the same time providing a location for local artists to showcase their work. Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, soap-maker, recycler, water-cleaner, or similar, we will help you get your products and message out to the many visitors and locals to our event,” said General Manager Michele Korteweg.

Applications are being accepted and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all available spots and/or categories are filled. There is a fee per 10x10 spot to cover cost of set-up and tent. Spaces are limited, so it is advised to apply as soon as possible.
