SYNOPSIS:
A weak Atlantic high pressure ridge will maintain a light northeasterly wind flow across the Region. Some increase in low level moisture can be expected during the latter part of this forecast period. Meanwhile, seas are forecast to remain slight for the next few days.
STATE OF THE SEA: Slight WAVES/SWELLS: up to 4 feet
SPECIAL FEATURES:
At 11 am Tropical Storm Karl was located about 1810 miles East of the Leeward Islands. Karl maintains its westward movement near 13 mph. Maximum sustained winds remains at 45 mph and this motion is expected to continue through Saturday. A southwestward motion is possible by Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Julia continues to meander off the eastern coast of the U.S and Ian became a post tropical Storm therefore, the last advisory has been issued.
The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor the progress of these systems.
