A woman who went to Fairway Mark It on Juancho Yrausquin Boulevard felt very cheated afterward. When she came home, she noticed that the price and expiry labels on several packages of chicken breast that she just bought had been placed over old ones.
After she peeled off the top label of one package, the underlying label revealed that it had more than doubled in price, going from NAf. 3.72 to NAf. 9.36. The other package was more than a week past its sell-by date, but the new label had an expiry date of April 8. Through her social networks, she was able to contact the store manager, who apologised for the experience and pledged to have stricter quality control.
